Over the last century, the average surface temperature of the Earth has increased by approximately 1°C, the effects of which can already be felt- glaciers are melting, sea-levels are rising and extreme weather events are occurring more frequently. While some areas are flooding more often, others are experiencing droughts. In short, global warming and climate change are not only damaging our planet but threatening all that inhabits it.
